I tend to agree with the general sentiment that text comment s are just "easier".
I do have a webcam built into my laptop but I rarely use it. I would much rather type out a response, edit it, and move on.
As someone who reads a lot of content online, I also tend to just skip video unless I know up front that it's something I'm interested in.
With video comments I have to know exactly what I want to say otherwise I waste other peoples time and look stupid stuttering.
